The LKIyyyymm_KML.zip file contains the KMZ files listed
below for display in Google Earth.

Note:
 - Zip files are displayed as a zipped folder in Windows
   File Explorer.
 - a KMZ file is a compressed KML file.

The Google Earth File/Open function will not allow you to
select individual kmz files from a zip file, so it is
recommended that you copy (unzip) the kmz files into a folder
of your own.
This can be done in Windows File Explorer by simply copying
the kmz files you want out of the LKIyyyymm_KML.zip "folder"
into your own folder.

You can then display a kmz file in Google Earth by selecting
it from the Google Earth File/Open dialog, or by
double-clicking on it in Windows File Explorer.

For each District (nn):
-----------------
  LKIyyyymm_dist_nn_desc.kmz
  --------------------------
    - Landmark placemarks labeled with the landmark Description

  LKIyyyymm_dist_nn_segkm.kmz
  ---------------------------
    - Landmark placemarks labeled with the landmark Segment & Km

  In Google Earth:
    - open the files for the Highway Districts of interest
    - individual landmark types can be turned on and off

  Note:
    - The accuracy of the landmark geographic locations is variable.
    - LatLon Source IDs of 1,2,5 & 6 indicate the location was
probably calculated along CHRIS or GeoBC geometry.
    - LatLons with Source ID of 4 were obtained from Google Earth
so are likely to be quite accurate.
    - Other source IDs indicate the LatLon came from RPMS photos
so are likely to be accurate to with about 10 metres.

LKIyyyymm_Segments_All.kmz
--------------------------
  - coloured centrelines of all LKI segments.
  - centreline data comes from CHRIS, or, if the segment
is not present (or accurate) in CHRIS, from GeoBC (DRA).
NOTE: up-to-date centreline data is usually not available
until the January after an LKI version is published.
Hence prior to that time, newly modified segments may not
    appear correctly.
  - the source of centreline data, and the LKI version of that
source, is displayed on the "Geometry Source" line of the
information pop-up window of each segment.
  - an icon labelled with the segment number is shown at each
    segment midpoint.
  - B and E icons are placed at the beginning and end of each
segment. (can be toggled on and off).
  - labelled placemarks are placed every 5 km along each segment
(can be toggled on and off).
  - click on a segment line to get details, including history of
past numbers used for the segment.

LKIyyyymm_SegNode.kmz:
---------------------
  - displays a placemark for each segment and node.
(*** Does NOT display segment centrelines. ***)

  Segment icons:
   - are orange circles, located approximately mid-segment.
   - 2-way segment icons contain "2".
   - 1-way segment icons contain N, S, E or W indicating the
direction, or "1" if no direction is coded for the segment.
   - click to get segment information.

  Node icons
   - red teardrop for NULL nodes
(no connection, or no break in connecting segment)
   - green teardrops for non-null nodes
   - click to get a list of associated segments.

  Note:
   - the segment icons are located at the first landmark past
or before the segment midpoint. For a few short segments
(ramps), there is no mid-segment landmark, so the icon
is put at the geographical mid-point.
   - after opening the file in Google Earth, the file name
will show in the Temporary Places list in the Places pane.
You can search for a particular segment by typing its
number in the search field at the BOTTOM of the Places pane.
   - double-click on the segment number in the Places pane to
     zoom to that segment.
